Who Do We Need?
You can play a crucial role in helping youth find their voice and understand the power of story.
916 Ink needs volunteers with all skill sets. Handyman? Typist? Teacher? We are sure to have a need that you can fill. Below you'll find a plethora of positions and we can always use a helping hand! For more information, fill out our online form or contact Henry Stroud at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Troopers are the oil in our engine. These valuable volunteers do everything from A-Z. Whether it’s manning an information booth, directing foot traffic at an event, or performing administrative tasks at the 916 Ink office, our Troopers keep us going!
Button Pushers make publishing our books possible. Our dedicated typists work closely with the Director of Production to turn our Inkers’ words into a publishable manuscript.
The Inspirators support our Wordslingers at program sites, directly influencing our Inkers by being good role models and helping them to achieve success in our workshops, at school, and in life.
Eagle Eyes make up Ink’s team of trusted editors. Assist with the publication process for each site and help Inkers and other 916 Ink volunteers polish their work.
Book Club members will read our publications, relay feedback to our production team, and write reviews on sites like Amazon. At book releases, these volunteers emerge from the audience in search of autographs. Imagine a young writer's smile when she discovers she has a gushing fan who can even reference her work!
Schmoozers are evangelists for gossiping the story of 916 Ink. From giving presentations to handshaking at events, shameless promoters are wanted!
Mastah Complainas/Guest Editors meet one-on-one with our youth writers to introduce them to the revision process and give them feedback on their writing.
Event Extraordinaires use their organizing skills to give our book releases and fundraising events that touch of fantabulous. We need spirited leaders to help us celebrate our achievements and turn our gatherings into festive occasions.
The Paparazzi capture the magic of 916 Ink. Experienced photographers and videographers are needed to give our book releases that red carpet feel and to document our events and classroom experiences.
Cultivators identify and implement different revenue sources for 916 Ink and/or throw fundraising events of their own. As a nonprofit, fundraising is essential. Come and help us meet our goals.
